Eva Kor (Poland)
The book of Acts shows the first Christians living a new way of life among a new community (Acts 2:42-47).
iLove Small Groups are intentionally…..
-
Devoted to God's Word (Love God) they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching... (verse 42)
We see that the early church was fully devoted to Christ and His Word. Our Small Groups study God's Word, have Christ centered discussions, and encourage each other towards full devotion to Christ in all areas of life.
-
Devoted to Fellowship (Love Each Other) they devoted themselves...to the fellowship. (verse 42)
The early church was not only fully devoted to God's Word, but also to constant and authentic fellowship with each other. Our Small Group members form genuine friendships.
-
Devoted to the Mission (Love the Lost) ...and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (verse 47)
The early church was also fully devoted to the Mission of Christ by serving the community, sharing the Gospel with the lost, and developing future leaders. Our Small Groups "Reach Beyond" the walls of the church in order to serve our community.
Small Groups are a group of people who gather regularly with the purpose to grow spiritually, share, love each other, reach out, pray, and multiply.
We will practice “Open Enrollment” in which members of Small Groups will be allowed to switch Groups as needed due to changes in schedules, relationships, life changes, and other factors that may affect a person’s ability to continue in their original Small Group. Any person who switches to a different Group must inform their current Small Group Leader or Assistant Leader, the Small Group Leader or Assistant Leader of the Group that they desire to join, and the Education Pastor.
Invite anyone and everyone who wants to be actively involved in the mission of iLove to intentionally love God, each other, and the lost.
Be creative to develop Christ centered ways to reach out to people for the sake of the Gospel. We trust each Small Group to research any outside group that they choose to support or partner with in reaching out to people who need Jesus.
The expectation is multiplication! We will multiply God’s Kingdom by achieving the discipleship purposes of iLove and start new Small Groups as often as possible.
Strive to foster an atmosphere of developing new leaders and new disciples.
Any person who switches to a different Group will be required to inform their current Small Group Leader or Assistant Leader, the Small Group Leader or Assistant Leader of the Group that they desire to join, and the Education Pastor.
