Our Story

How it all started...

Our church began with a group of men in a garage in September of 2013. At that time, we had no idea that God would lead us to start a new church. Instead, we were just a group of men who wanted to see God move in our own hearts and bring real change into our lives. That night a group of 13 men spent about 3 hours praying, talking, reading Scripture, and praying some more. What came out of that night was the idea that it was not enough to just tell someone that you loved them, you had to show it. It had to be an intentional effort on our part. We realized that when “God demonstrated His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” that this was a very intentional act on God’s behalf. We also found that loving someone does not mean that you tolerate their actions, it means that you love them enough to tell them when their actions do not please God (1 Corinthians chapter 13:6 love “does not rejoice in unrighteousness”).

Expanding the vision...

Loving intentionally means that before you get out of the car to go into your house, you stop and realize that the other people living in your house need your love. It means that when you go into a restaurant that you stop and consider that the wait staff needs to see and feel your love. So with “intentional love” means that in every action you pause to consider “How can I love this person intentionally?” That is the mission of Intentional Love Baptist Church. We seek to intentionally love God, each other, and the lost.

Where we are headed...

None of us are perfect. We have all disobeyed God at one time or another. All of us deserve the payment of eternal separation from God in hell. But God somehow loved us so much that He sent Jesus to take our payment for us by dying on a cross. But Jesus was perfect so God raised Him from the dead to show us that if we will simply turn from our disobedience and believe that Jesus died for us, then God will forgive us and we can have a relationship with God that is both real and personal. I want to ask if you would like to accept Jesus right now? If you will call out to God today, you too can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. If you made a decision to turn to God, please let us know so that we can celebrate with you!
