We need to pray for our the people within our influence and society in general...our children, youth, young adults and others without a strong foundation in the faith and trust in God's Word; His teachings and His presence. Apostasy and false teaching is growing rapidly within our society...we've seen this occurring within Churches across our nation, but now it's occurring ever more so, blatantly "in your face" within our children's school's, young adult's college classes and universities, and for adults in our workplaces. Policies are being pushed that allow your children to decide the pronoun the best identify with, that encourage your children to decide which sex they are attracted to; changing history of our country with the 1619 Project; and Critical Race Theory programs have infiltrated our schools, colleges, universities, and can you believe it places of work. They've gone beyond pushing political correctness to accept sinful lifestyles, i.e. LBGQT activities, marriage of the same sex, throw away marriages, the legal murder of the unborn, boys/men participating as women in women sports, etc.
As the Saints of Christ, we are called to stand strong in our faith and trust in God's Word, to proclaim God's Word, and to live out God's Word. It is more and more important that father's and mother's own the discipling of their households. Men, especially need to step up in obedience to be the spiritual leaders called us to be. We need to be the primary source and example for ensuring the reading, teaching, and application of God's Word. The pulpit, Small Groups/Bible Study Groups and the like are only supplemental, especially if you want to ensure the Truth of Christ is being taught, studied and applied correctly.
We need to pray that as Christians we are put our priorities in the correct order, with our relationship with God above everything else being first, not school, sports, our jobs, our hobbies, not family members or friends. Our relationship with God and our obedience to God in service should be our number one priority. As Christian Americans, we've got our priorities all wrong. We've put our jobs first or our kids school activities first. We ended up putting God into our priorities wherever we can fit Him in. Sadly, I too struggle in this area. I have to intentionally and constantly remind myself that God and pleasing God should be my focus out of obedience and love for Him.
I know I shared a lot in my words above, but I felt lead to share of my need to remind myself to faithfully be in God's Word and seek His guidance for my live, especially with the world pulling at me from all directions.
I am and will continue to pray for each of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ. Please pray for me and Amanda.
Humbly and lovingly your brother in Christ,
Raymond
